OEBB Founders:

Pastor Martinez & Emma Jovin
OEBB was founded by Pastor Martinez Jovin over 40 years ago and directed by Pastor and his wife Immacula affectionately known as Emma.  The Jovins are Haitian nationals.  Pastor Martinez received his seminary training in England and Emma likewise secured a nursing degree in England.  In obedience to the call of God, the Jovins returned to their homeland with a commitment to serve God and their fellow Haitian brothers and sisters.  Since 1979, God has worked mightily through the Jovins to establish 9 Conservative Baptist Churches, 8 Christian Schools and 2 orphanages.  Emma has labored diligently by establishing two main health clinics.  The Jovins recognize the desperate needs of their fellow Haitians and have sought many ways to help meet those needs.  From its inception, OEEB’s Mission has been to spread the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to assist those in need.  The mission base is located in Delmas 77, Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Through the loving support of friends in England, Canada and the United States, thousands of children have received a proper education and care while tens of thousands of adults have been reached with the gospel of Christ.  We desire to help improve the lives of thousands more with the Gospel message of Jesus Christ and we need your help.

What We Believe
We believe that the work of national transformation begins with the knowledge of Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior.  Over the past decades, the OEBB Mission has and continues to offer schooling, medical assistance, and housing for orphans.  Bethesda’s mission is guided by teaching servant leadership and exercising good stewardship of God's provisions.

Accountability
OEBB is currently governed by a national board composed of local church leaders, elders and school administrators in conjuction with its founding director.

John 5:7-9

The sick man answered him, “Sir, I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up, and while I am going another steps down before me.” Jesus said to him, “Get up, take up your bed, and walk.” And at once the man was healed, and he took up his bed and walked. (ESV)

When you believe there is no one to help you, Jesus is there.
